My name is Muhammad Amin Bin Khairul Anuar, and I am currently taking a course in Numerical Methods with Scilab Programming. Although I understand the convenience of online learning, I’m not particularly fond of it. I prefer face-to-face interactions, where I can directly engage with my instructor and peers. Online learning sometimes feels detached and lacks the personal connection and real-time feedback that I value. I find that having in-person discussions and hands-on demonstrations helps me understand concepts better and stay engaged throughout the learning process.
For this course, I would appreciate if the lecture could be conducted in a more interactive and practical way. While I am open to online resources, I would prefer a format that includes opportunities for live discussions, hands-on problem-solving sessions, and a chance to work directly with the instructor for clarification of concepts as needed. I feel that Numerical Methods and Scilab Programming are best learned through application, so I would love to have a lot of real-time coding practice and the ability to ask questions and get immediate feedback.
My expectations for this course are to gain a solid understanding of various numerical techniques and how they can be applied to solve engineering and scientific problems. I am particularly excited about learning how to implement these methods in Scilab and gaining the skills to use the software effectively for both theoretical and practical applications. I hope to not only understand the mathematical concepts but also become proficient in translating them into code, so I can solve real-world problems efficiently.
I look forward to a course structure that emphasizes problem-solving, provides ample practice, and allows for an interactive learning experience. I also hope to develop strong programming skills in Scilab, which will be essential in my future career.
